For those who’ve been living under a rock for the last few months, Canadian rapper Drake has not been having a good go of it lately. In this year alone, he got dropped by Rihanna, who then lambasted him in a magazine interview, and lost a feud with Pusha T after the latter dropped one of the hottest diss tracks since Tupac and Biggie were going at it.
And now it looks like Drake has gotten into hot water with popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. The two had an incredibly successful live-stream together in March when they teamed up for a round of ‘Fortnite.’ The stream showed them as good friends, and they had great rapport with one another.
However, Ninja, often credited as being the second-best ‘Fortnite’ player in the world, recently suggested that Drake might have only played with him to get additional viewers. “I feel like Drake saw that I was up-and-coming in the gaming scene, and he thought it would be a perfect way to just tap into another source of viewers,” he said during a live-stream.
In response to the allegations, Drake has unfollowed Ninja on Instagram. Ninja expressed regret about their burgeoning relationship crumbling on Twitter, where he also revealed that Drake had never paid him the $5000 he’d been promised for the live-stream.
Nevertheless, Ninja confesses to still be a fan of the rapper, calling Drake a “genius,” and saying he probably will continue to purchase his music and merchandise.
